New Michigan Driver's License Appeal Policy

For those individuals who have been on a restricted license that required them to drive with an ignition interlock (II) on their vehicle will now have a new Driver’s License Appeal policy. In the event that you are going to request an Administrative Review, a paper hearing, instead of a video or in-person hearing, your Interim Report (preciously called a Final Report), from the Ignition Interlock provider must now be dated within 30 days of the date you file for an administrative hearing.

In the past the report needed to be dated no more than 90 days before the appeal was filed. this seemingly minor change will have a big impact on how you will need to prepare the paperwork for an Administrative Review. If these new policies aren’t adhered to it could cause delays in obtaining full driving privileges.
